Custom Recipes Using 1.13 DataPacks

Hello Miners,

We starting using 1.13 new feature called data packs. This allows for custom recipes, blocks, drops, and more. Basically changing the way the vanilla mechanics work. We are using 3 data packs on the server: Custom Advancements, Modified Mob Drops, & Custom Recipes. You may have noticed mobs dropping weird things, this is added to make things more realistic and interesting. I mean when you kill a cow, it should drop bones. Little things like that. But the main reason for this post is the custom recipes.

We’ve added the ability to craft spawners and 4 mob eggs: Zombie, Zombie Villager, Skeleton, & Spider. The reason for this is because of lack of dungeons. There are a few of those huge dungeons scattered about, but no real 8×8 room dungeons. However crafting the spawners are rather expensive and require things like end crystal, nether stars, and even a dragon head.

Once you place down the spawner there is no picking it up again. So make sure you get it right the first time. To use the spawner you have to place it. Then right click it with one the 4 spawn eggs. You could have your own xp farm in your base. Some of the other recipies are there to gain some of the new blocks such as coral, and the double stone slab block. SOme of the recipes are there to tweak things and make it a little easier for you.

Season 2 Launch & 1.13 News

Hello Miners,

This update is rather late, but better late than ever. Anyways Season 2 launched on Friday, August 3, 2018. This season map is a large 12k x16k custom world made in world painter. We have some new changes this season, such as custom advancements and custom recipes. We want to focus on the community aspect this time around. More player events such as PvP events, races, and maybe even do a UHC or two.

The theme this time will be focus around alpine, because of where spawn is situated. Hopefully we will get the player housing builds up this time around. The dragon has been killed as well so we have now unlocked the end. Unfortunately there is a major 1.13 bug which causes end cities not to spawn. Because of this we will be waiting for 1.13.1 to reset the end. 1.13 has been full of lag and bugs, and we probably released prematurely. But its been worth it. Hopefully 1.13.1 fixes any major game breaking bugs.

Minersplay 1.13 Update & World Vote

Hi Miners,

The launch of 1.13 is coming this Friday. With an all new map and move of builds. It’s taken a bit longer than we thought especially with all of the logistics involved with this. We have 2 different custom 16k x 16k worlds that have been made especially for us, that includes all the biomes.

We plan on adding your custom villages, dungeons, ect into the world. Because of this the server will be put in whitelist mode this next week while we move builds and get ready for the launch. Now this is the part that you guys get to vote on.

Because we have 2 worlds, we need your vote on which world we will use as our season 2 world. I’m only going to show the overview of each map.

Map One:

  • Has most of the biomes
  • Lots of valleys
  • Ocean level is at y:30
  • Super tall mountains
  • Realistic trees
  • Comes with villages and stronghold
  • Map Two:
    • Has all of the biomes
      Lots of vast land
      Ocean level is y:63
      Average mountains
      Spawn has a giant cavern inside
      Not much in terms of super tall mountains

    Each picture tells a different picture in what to expect. You can Vote Here Strawpoll .

    Now if you would like your build transferred log onto the server today and build a giant dirt 1×1 tower at your build. This will let me know and the other mods that we can transfer your builds. We will try to stick them in similar biomes and landscapes. If you have an idea on an area to build at let any one of the mods know.

    As of tomorrow the server will be in full whitelist mod till the relaunch.

    Relaunch Coming Soon & 1.13 News

    Hello Miners

    With the announcement of 1.13 being on July 18th, we are getting ready to relaunch the server and map. Our new map for 1.13 will be 16k x 16k larger than the current map, and have all new terrain. Things will stay the same plugin wise for the most part. The server will stay being a greylist semi vanilla server, with the exception of removing Epic World Generator and moving to Bukkit. Now onto the part everyone has been asking about, moving of builds. We are doing a soft restart meaning we will be moving player builds over if they would like. This is completely optional, but this option is there for those who don’t want to lose out on their current projects. Unfortunately we will not be transferring player data, so whatever is in your enderchest and inventory will be wiped. The following will be required in order to move your build over.

    • Part of a build or the whole thing.
    • Coords of where your current build is.
    • Dimensions of the build (required)
    • What biome do you want in the new map.
    • How close to spawn?

    Let any of the staff know on Discord about what you want transferred. Once your build has been transferred on the new map we will let you know of the location. One final note, we wont be necessarily be on 1.13 right away, we have you wait for either Bukkit to update or the new map.     Updates & Season 2

    Hi Miners,

    We wanted to update you guys on whats been going on around the server. First of all we want to showcase the new server cinematic. We feature all sorts of builds in this video. Unfortunately we ended up missing a few, such as washwithcare’s base and more. However we hope that you like the video:

    Now that brings us to the next part, unfortunately with the way 1.13 generates worlds and such its not possible to keep the world. 1.13 changes the world generation with new biomes, new algorithms. So the staff and I have talked it over and feel its right to reset the world. I know at this point im eating my own words, when I originally setup the server I said I was never planning on a reset in the near future. Hopefully season 2 will be around alot longer than 8 months.

    New Map Ideas:

    We want the new map to have all the new biomes, and much more. Thats why a custom 16k x 16k map is being designed as we speak. This map will have the custom biomes, and non vanilla terrain that everyone has come to love. But to make the map even better we want your feedback on what should be added. So far this is what is planning on being added.

    • Custom Villages
    • Custom Woodland Mansions
    • Giant Cavens
    • Great Looking Spawn

    Relaunch and Season 2?

    Hi Miners,

    We wanted to let you all know about the upcoming relaunch. We plan on doing some extra things to get more players on for 1.13, such as the website redesign, changes in staff and small discord changes.

    There may be some changes to the server depending on who wants a new season. We label each world as a season, which would mean a server reset. There originally wasn’t going to be a server reset for 1.13, but the idea has been thrown around. Because we use a plugin epic world generation, there may be a chance the server won’t update to 1.13 right away. It could take months depending on how fast that plugin updates. Another reason is we use spigot which breaks all the things, such as the guardian farm (we had to use spawners). Certain red stone aspects. And non spawning is way out of control, now you might ask why we don’t change to bukkit. Well EWG doesn’t work with bukkit.

    So here is what we would like, there will be a poll attached to this post. We would like your input about if we should distant as season one or start a new season for 1.13.
